More than 450 guests gathered at the Newport Coast home of Kurt Caillier for the “Endless Summer Nights Party,” to benefit Orangewood PALS, an auxiliary of Orangewood Children’s Foundation.

The event netted more than $40,000 for Orangewood.

Sponsors of the event were A&A Ready Mixed Concrete (Caillier is its president/CEO), BevMo, Bleu Cotton Photography, Cosmopolitan Events, Fenner-Hansen Fine Florals and Patron Tequila.

Event chair was Katy Higgins, a member of the PALS board of directors and President of Cosmopolitan Events.

As guests arrived they received star treatment including a red carpet photo taken by Bleu Cotton Photography and specialty Patron cocktails.  The main floor offered guests heavy hors d’oeuvres catered by Cosmopolitan Events, a poker tournament and billiards.

Beyond the main level, the pool area provided partygoers with sweeping views of Newport Bay and the Pacific Ocean.  Also poolside was a “muddle-your-own mojito” bar where guests could make a custom mojito and take home their own brushed aluminum, personally engraved muddler.

Downstairs, Caillier’s 20-car garage was transformed into a disco with D.J. Hoff spinning the tunes and keeping guests partying into the night.  Also in the garage, $2,000 suite ticket purchasers had roped-off areas to lounge between songs while enjoying Patron cocktails.

VIPs in attendance included Brian Shaw (assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers), Susan Samueli (President of the Samueli Foundation and a member of the Orangewood Children’s Foundation board), Pam Dzierzanowski (director of events for Patron Spirits Co.), Ryan Steelberg (CEO of Brand Affinity Technologies) and wife Jessica, Keith Bohr (Huntington Beach City Council member) and wife Elizabeth, PALS Board Chair Pei Pei Wang and Orangewood Children’s Foundation CEO Cal Winslow

Helping chairperson Katy Higgins were the PALS board, especially Melody Akhavan, Steve Bender, Keri Dugan, Marty Dutch, Kim Miller and Carroll Wheatley.

Mike Hartel was the winner of the Texas Hold ’Em poker tournament.  He won four floor tickets to a Lakers game with round-trip transportation in a limo, donated by Kurt Caillier.
