This year’s Taste of Newport, the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce’s annual three-day event, will showcase more than 30 local restaurants, wine from more than 15 wineries, delicious cocktails and beer, as well as live entertainment.
Presented by Wells Fargo, the 22nd annual Taste of Newport will begin Friday, Sept. 17, amd end on Sunday, Sept. 19, all at Fashion Island.
This year’s Taste of Newport is expected to attract more than 50,000 people, making it not only Newport Beach’s, but Orange County’s social event of the year. Locals, tourists, families, and friends from all over visit this three-day event to get a taste of the fabulous food that is offered—a wide variety to please any palate is displayed throughout the event—Prime rib, tiramisu, chicken empanadas, and lobster hand rolls just to name a few.
Taking the Taste stage on Sept. 17 will be the Gin Blossoms, with infectious melodies from multi-platinum hits including “Hey Jealousy,” “Found Out About You,” “Until I Fall Away,” “Allison Road,” “Follow You Down,” “Til I Hear It From You,” and “Mrs. Rita,”
Rock legends Foreigner will perform at the Taste on Sept. 18. Foreigner has 16 Top 30 hits, with nine Top 10 hits including “I Want To Know What Love Is,” “Waiting For A Girl Like You,” “Double Vision,” “Hot Blooded,” “Urgent,” “Feels Like The First Time,” “I Don’t Want To Live Without You,” “Say You Will,” “Cold As Ice,” “Head Games,” “Blue Morning, Blue Day,” and “Juke Box Hero.”
The Taste of Newport is thrilled to welcome back Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo on Sept. 19. Songs such as “Love Is a Battlefield,” “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” “Shadows of the Night,” “Treat Me Right,” “Promises in the Dark,” “We Live For Love,” “Invincible,” and “Heartbreaker” became anthems for a new attitude.
Tickets to attend the Taste of Newport are $25 at the gate or $22 when purchased online in advance at www.TasteofNewport.com. VIP tickets are available for each night of the event. A $125 VIP ticket includes valet parking, single-day admission to the Taste, reserved stage-front section seating for the concert, and access to the Taste Concert VIP Tent with private restrooms, bartenders and tables.
