On May 7, the “Stars of Tomorrow” from the Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts walked the Red Carpet at the Port Theater in Corona del Mar.

Guests were treated to specialty cocktails, a variety of champagne, wines, gourmet appetizers, and of course popcorn and candy. From the “Step and Repeat” paparazzi photographers, Marilyn Monroe lookalike, and glamourous gown adorned ladies, the evening could have rivaled the Oscars.
The student filmmakers were all in attendance as the audience was treated to four short films created by the Dodge College award recipients.
The Women of Chapman Student Endowment Fund has provided annual funding for emerging artists for over 12 years. Students were interviewed after each film by Dodge Film School Dean Stephen Galloway. The heartfelt applause following the films was an indication of the audience’s approval and support for these future talented filmmakers.
Special thanks to Adrienne Brandes (President of Women of Chapman) and the Stars of Tomorrow Committee (Adrienne Brandes, Kathy Hamilton, Sue Hook, Mikey Lares, Kristin Martin and Mary Murfey) along with Silver Spotlight, Bronze Friends Sponsors and the Port Theater.
Dodge College of Film and Media Arts is ranked the #4 film school in the country by both The Wrap and the Hollywood Reporter magazines.
Presenting Sponsors were Whittier Trust and Arlo and Marci Sorensen.
