More than 100 costumed surfers hit the waves just north of the Newport Pier on Saturday, Oct. 30 for the annual Blackies Halloween Surf event. Several hundred spectators watched the antics of the surfers, whose costumed ranged from KISS band members to pirates to demons and ghouls.
