The Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce will hold a City Council Candidates Forum on Thursday, Sept. 3, at the new Witte Hall, 998 Avocado Ave., adjacent to the Central Public Library.
The candidates are vying for election in district 1 (currently represented by Councilmember Joe Stapleton), district 3 (currently represented by Councilmember Erik Weigand), district 4 (currently represented by Councilmember Robyn Grant), and district 6 (currently represented by Mayor Lauren Kleiman).
The event will follow an interactive panel format and provide attendees with a firsthand look at the candidate’s positions and experiences on key issues in Newport Beach.
Admission to the event is free. A complimentary continental breakfast from Plum’s Café is served beginning at 7 pm. The forum is from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Registration is recommended, although walk-ups are welcome.
