“SAVOR 2026,” benefiting The Literacy Project, returns to Newport Beach Country Club on Friday, October 2, 2026, for its signature Napa-inspired evening under the stars.
Set amid the club’s picturesque outdoor garden, the evening begins with a stylish cocktail reception featuring an exceptional collection of luxury automobiles from distinguished private collections, alongside a curated fine art exhibition.
As the sun sets, the celebration continues beneath the glow of bistro lights with an elegant farm-to-table dining experience, where gourmet cuisine, a sense of community, and the beautiful outdoor setting create a memorable atmosphere of connection and purpose.
The event honors extraordinary individuals whose professional achievements and philanthropic leadership have made a lasting impact on our community, and highlights the transformative work of The Literacy Project while celebrating how the gift of literacy changes the lives of our most vulnerable children.
Honorees at the event include Erin Anderson of A. Gary Anderson Family Foundation; Kathy Simon-Abels of the Ronald M. Simon Family Foundation Board of Directors; and Julie Ann & Jim Ulcickas of Blue Water Grill Restaurants.
“SAVOR 2026” carries a noble mission as a fundraiser for The Literacy Project. By addressing the needs of students struggling with reading skills, The Literacy Project aims to break the cycle of functional illiteracy, providing these underserved children with an opportunity to thrive academically, emotionally, and in life. These students gain essential phonetic skills, gain self-confidence, and cultivate a lifelong love for reading and learning.
The event takes place on Friday, Oct. 2 at the Newport Beach Country Club. The reception is 5 to 6:30 p.m. Guests can explore an exceptional collection of luxury automobiles from distinguished private collections, stroll the art gallery garden featuring a live art demonstration presented by Ethos Art, enter a premier opportunity drawing, and enjoy a captivating performance by virtuoso violinist Ron Kao.
From 6:30 to 10 p.m., savor a farm-to-table dining experience in the elegant outdoor garden setting, be inspired by the personal and professional journeys of four distinguished honorees, and bid on exclusive packages during a world-class live auction.
