The Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce’s monthly Wake Up! Newport meeting will feature the top executive for a statewide chamber group next week.

Guest speaker is Allan Zaremberg, president and chief executive officer of the California Chamber of Commerce, will be at the early breakfast event on Thursday.
Zaremberg took over the top staff position in 1998 after six years as executive vice president and head of the California Chamber’s advocacy program.
For more than 125 years, Cal Chamber has worked to make California a better place to live, work, and do business by giving private sector employers a voice in state politics and providing a full range of California-specific products and services.
Topics will include how the Cal Chamber helps local businesses, the upcoming election, repeal of the gas tax, and rent control.
Complimentary continental breakfast starts at 7:15 a.m.; program from 7:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Admission is free. Walkups welcome on a space available basis.
