Sunday, Jan. 20

Battery. 6:30 p.m. 3000 block of Newport Blvd. Two women confronted each other in a restroom of a business. Their verbal altercation turned into a physical one, ending with the arrest of one of the women for battery. She was held on $500 bail.

Saturday, Jan. 19

Robbery. 2:50 a.m. At Old Newport Place and Industrial Way. A man confronted an unspecified number of people walking in the area. He demanded their money and credit cards, and after the victims complied, the man fled on foot. He was contact by police officers not long after and arrested. His bail was set at $50,000.

Vehicle burglary. 11:08 a.m. At Constellation and Santiago drives. Someone used an unknown object to break the driver’s door window and then removed a purse from the car. Later, the unknown suspect used the victim’s credit cards to make purchases at a store in Anaheim. $1,185 were stolen, while the car was wracked with $300 in damages.

Robbery. 2:45 p.m. 2500 block of E. Bluff Rd. A Costa Mesa woman took goods from a store without paying. She was confronted by the store clerk, erupting into a physical altercation. The woman was subsequently arrested for robbery and held on $50,000 bail.

Friday, Jan. 18

Residential burglary. 8:48 p.m. 400 block of Jasmine Ave. An unknown suspect entered a residence through an unlocked back door and proceeded to steal Louis Vuitton luggage and two pens, all valued at $11,900.

 Grand theft. 11:57 a.m. 200 block of Abalone Ave. An unknown suspect stole a $3,000 ring from a dresser drawer.
