Tuesday, April 16

Impersonation. 11:35 a.m. 900 block of N. French St., Santa Ana. Last November, a Costa Mesa women working as a babysitter was stopped for a traffic violation and provided what turned out to be false information. The victim whose identity was used was unaware of the violation until recently and immediately reported the discrepancy. The babysitter was then arrested and held on $20,000 bail while detectives investigate the crime further.

Monday, April 15

Grand theft from vehicle. 8:15 a.m. 1200 block of Alicante. An unknown suspect found a vehicle unlocked and stole a golf bag and clubs and sunglasses totaling $1,680.

Terrorize. 9:34 a.m. 100 block of 19th St. While in a fight between a Dexter, N.M., man and the victim, the Dexter man made threatening remarks. The victim, in fear for his safety, contacted police who then arrested the suspect for making criminal threats. His bail is $50,000.

Sunday, April 14

False impersonation. 1:45 a.m. 18600 block of MacArthur Blvd., Irvine. An Upland man presented false information with regard to his identity during a traffic stop. The man was arrested and held on $20,000 bail.

Saturday, April 13

Battery. 2:01 a.m. 2400 block of Newport Blvd. Responding to calls of an alcohol-fueled fight brewing at a business, police officers ultimately intervened and arrested a Mission Viejo man for public intoxication.

Obstruction. 6:50 p.m. Birch and Bristol streets. A Yorba Linda man was contacted by police officers for having littered. The man became combative and was arrested for obstruction. His bail was $500.
