Remember Newport Beach Restaurant Week?
That annual event took place over two weeks every January, presented by the Newport Beach Restaurant Association. However, after more than 25 years of service, the Newport Beach Restaurant Association Business Improvement District (BID) was dissolved in 2021 after the Newport Beach City Council voted not to renew the Restaurant BID.
Now, the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce has taken up the mantle and is bringing back Newport Beach Restaurant Week as an 11-day culinary event January 15 through 25.
Restaurant Week highlights Newport Beach as a premier dining destination, inviting locals and visitors to explore the city’s vibrant food scene through special prix fixe menus crafted by many of the area’s top chefs.
“We’re excited to bring back Newport Beach Restaurant Week,” said Steve Rosansky, president and CEO of the Newport Beach Chamber of Commerce. “We have so many fine restaurants in the city that deserve to be showcased, and Restaurant Week is the perfect way to introduce diners to restaurants they might not have tried at price points that won’t break the bank or put a dent in your wallet.”
More than 40 restaurants are scheduled to participate, offering exclusive prix fixe lunch and dinner menus at a variety of price points. Participating restaurants include:
- Avila’s El Ranchito
- Bayside Restaurant
- Cappy’s Café
- Farmhouse at Roger’s Gardens
- Gelatissimo
- Lighthouse Newport Beach
- Louie’s by the Bay
- The Bungalow
- Whaler Newport Beach
A full list of restaurants and menus can be found at www.RestaurantWeekNB.com. Diners need to ask for the special Restaurant Week menu.
