The 2015 BNP Paribas Tennis Open finished with a dazzling display of tennis brilliance. Novak Djokovic (Serbia), the world number one ranked player, met Roger Federer (Switzerland), the world number two ranked player, for the 38th time. In an epic battle, Djokovic prevailed in three hard fought sets: (6-3, 6-7, 6-2). On the lady’s side, number 2 ranked Simona Halep (Romania) defeated Jelena Jankovic (Serbia) in three sets: 2-6, 7-5, 6-4.Halep and Djokovic both took home $1 million in prize money and a sizeable Baccarat Crystal trophy. Milos Raonic (Canada) thrilled fans with serves of up to 147 miles/hour and defeated crowd favorite Rafael Nadal (Spain) in the quarter finals. Serena Williams, the number one ranked woman, reappeared at the tournament for the first time in twelve years. She retired prior to her semi final match with Simona Halep due to a knee injury. Over 450,000 fans witnessed the Open this year setting a new attendance record.
