The 38th Annual Corona del Mar Home Tour on Tuesday brought in about 1,500 people and $130,000, organizers said.

Although there weren’t any firm numbers ready by Wednesday afternoon, event organizers said they estimate the fundraiser netted over $130,000 for the CdM middle and high school PTA.

The Home Tour proceeds fund many programs and services available to the students.

The tour attendees visited six local homes, enjoyed breakfast in Cafe Beau Soleil & Daily Grill, lunch catered by Pascal of Cafe Jardin and wine and appetizers at an after-party at Bliss Home & Design to finish the day.

“[The] home tour was phenomenal,” organizer and event site webmaster, Debra Kaye, wrote in an email. “Everything went smoothly.”

The participants seemed to enjoy the atmosphere at Sherman Gardens, Kaye wrote, and the boutique, which was new this year, was a huge success. It opened up the area as people mingled all over the grounds while enjoying the surroundings, she added.

Since it was such a success the group hopes to make it even bigger next year.
