The 67th annual Newport to Ensenada 125 nautical mile international Yacht Race took off this weekend. In spite of the high winds (15-20mph), choppy seas, and paucity of entries (168 is the fewest in history), it was a spirited and fast beginning. New Trimarans brought new speed and grace to the event. The Maxi class was won by Staghound. Plans are for a Fiesta Grande at Hotel Coral Hotel north of Ensenada.
