The Fourth of July holiday is coming up next weekend, and with it will be days filled with basking on the beach, barbecues, and a multitude of summer activities.

I’ve compiled a list of a few places to find must have items for the holiday weekend including accessories, clothes and party goods.

If you’re like me and enjoy dressing up to themes but in a fun, classy way, it can sometimes be hard to find fashion items to wear for the Fourth of July.

One solution I’ve found to this is Kendra Scott’s color bar, where you can customize your own jewelry with a variety of colors including red, white and blue.

Each setting, whether you want earrings, bracelets, necklaces or rings, is well made and can be found in gold or silver.

My pick for the Fourth of July are the Gwen Earrings, which are chandelier earrings in a waterfall setting. This gives me 11 stones to play with in red, white and blue.

Find Kendra Scott’s color bar online at kendrascott.com or visit her Newport Beach location at Fashion Island.lovely-package-chandon-summer-2

Dress for the Theme

J. McLaughlin, a store with over 35 years in the fashion industry, has opened a new location in Corona Del Mar Plaza just in time for the Fourth of July.

With their cute beach and nautical apparel to match the Newport Beach ambiance, you are sure to find something festive to wear to a barbecue or dinner party.

I love their linen dresses with simple silhouettes; they are light and perfect for the warm weather, and each design pays attention to patterns or textures that makes the style unique.

Visit J. McLaughlin online at jmclaughlin.com or at the new store at 972 Avocado Ave.

If you are looking for some festive bubbly, check out Chandon’s limited-edition American Summer Bottle, which is covered in waves of red, white and blue.

Chandon has been in the business of making sparkling varietals for over 30 years, with vineyards in Yountville, Carneros and Mount Veeder.

This “American Summer” champagne comes in 187 ml. minis ($8) and 750 ml. bottles ($22-$24) and can be found at select retailer or online at chandon.com through Labor Day.

To pair with the bottle, Chandon partnered with designer Jonathan Adler to create matching serving tray. This acrylic tray with red, white and blue anchors comes in two sizes: 11 inches by 17 inches ($98) or 9 inches by 11 inches ($78).

Visit jonathanadler.com or his store 579 Newport Center Dr. for these and other great party and hostess gift items.
