Charity Spotlight: Coldwell Banker’s “Create a Seat” Event to Benefit Illumination Foundation

chair-2Tickets are now on sale for the “Art of Design – Create a Seat to End Homelessness” charity event to be held Oct. 8 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s atrium located at 840 Newport Center Dr. in Newport Beach.

The evening of live music, silent auctions, libations and cuisine from acclaimed restaurants benefits Illumination Foundation, and features a live auction of 12 chairs designed by Audra Interiors, Dejager Design Inc., Famosa, Arlene Hacatoryan, K Smith Interiors, Steven Reed Love, Rejoy Interiors Inc., Steve Alt Design Group, Transitions Designs, Turcotte Interiors, and Willetts Design.

The chairs are currently on display at Neiman Marcus in Fashion Island.

“You won’t be able to get these magnificent chairs anywhere else because theychair-3 will be the only chair like this the designer will have ever created, and the chairs are being made specifically for this auction,” said Debbie Lewandowski, manager of the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Newport Beach office, which is hosting the fundraiser. ”More importantly, all proceeds will go toward Illumination Foundation’s building project for a homeless children’s resource center. I can’t think of a better cause.”

According to Illumination Foundation, there are more than 32,000 homeless or unstably housed children in Orange County.
