Thousands of runners were up early Sunday morning, despite the dark and gloomy sky and cold weather, for the 13th annual OC Marathon, half marathon and 5k races. The course started at Fashion Island in Newport Beach and into Corona del Mar, before it wound its way through Irvine and Costa Mesa, finishing at the Orange County fairgrounds.
