Newport Beach Independent Newspaper – Letters
The Newport Beach Independent is a locally owned newspaper serving the residents of, and visitors to, Newport Beach. Our purpose is to enhance the community in Newport Beach by providing quality news and information, as well as providing a platform for communication.
Letters to the editor are typically between 400-500 words. They should be focused on local issues, topics or events. Letters may be edited for clarity, length, or appropriateness. We reserve the right to not run a letter. We discourage name-calling, rumor spreading, and personal attacks, and we may decline to run a letter that is perceived as such. Letters should be civil, factual, and original (no copy and pasting). Please supply name and contact info, although only name and city or village will be printed.
